MANILA, Philippines – Lola Amour is set for a rousing start in their 9th year anniversary.

The seven-piece Filipino pop-rock band will release its newest single, “Misbehave,” on Friday, May 30, at their 9th anniversary show at the Open Air Auditorium in Rizal Park, Luneta.

The concert will be free for those who pre-saved the song on major streaming platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Music

In a statement, the band said over 10,000 fans have signed up for the free concert, making the accommodation difficult ahead of the show.

“Hindi namin in-expect na ganito karami ‘yung gustong pumunta sa show,” the band said. “Yung team ngayon, ginagawa ang lahat para mas maraming ma-accommodate.”

(We didn’t expect there would be this many wanting to attend the show. Our team is making sure to accommodate everyone.)

Lola Amour — which recently won a special award for Philippine Popular Music at the Music Awards Japan 2025 — will also be joined by OPM acts Sugarcane, The Ridleys, Alyson, and Jan Roberts to mark their nine years as one of the fastest rising bands in the country.

The milestone show comes after the success of their single “Dance with My Mistakes,” which was released last April.

It will feature some of Lola Amour’s top hits throughout the years, including “Raining in Manila,” “Fallen,” “Maybe Maybe,” “Pwede Ba,” and “Fools,” among others.

The band members are also expected to reflect on their nine years together in the OPM industry.

Lola Amour was formed in 2013 and has since grown into one of the Philippines’ most popular indie bands. Throughout the years, the group has been known for fusing indie pop, funk, and soul in some of its hits.

The band consists of Pio Dumayas (lead vocals), Zoe Gonzales (lead guitar), Angelo Mesina (trumpet), David Yuhico (keyboards), Jeff Abueg (saxophone), Raffy Perez (drums), and Manu Dumayas (bass). – Rappler.com
