MANILA, Philippines – The San Juan community finally gets its first UNIQLO store!
The Japanese retailer opened its inaugural store in San Juan City’s Greenhills Mall this September, making it the 80th branch nationwide.

At 2,943 sqm on the ground floor of the mall, the store spans two spacious levels — the first level is dedicated to womenswear, and the second to menswear and UNIQLO’s UT collections.

All around are UNIQLO’s signature staples: walls of jeans, AIRISM favorites, HeatTech, bags, hats, LifeWear essentials, sport utility wear, underwear, and UT fandom t-shirts, with branch-exclusive polos, tops, and more.

What makes the new store stand out is its personalized UT shirt designs, available only at the San Juan store, featuring some of the community’s beloved staples — Bun Run’s smash burgers; fish and chips joint 717 Deli; Chocfull of Nuts, the OG Greenhills dim sum and pastry store since 1974; and Hainan Guy’s Singaporean comfort food.

Each household name gets its own hand-drawn logo on UNIQLO t-shirts and tote bags, created by local artists.

It’s the global brand’s localized way of shining a spotlight on neighborhood cult favorites.

The San Juan opening follows UNIQLO’s recent regional expansion: its first roadside store in Pampanga’s Angeles City opened on September 5; another in Taytay, Rizal last March; and its first Mindanao branch in Davao City last July.

The first UNIQLO branch in the Philippines opened in 2012 at SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
