MANILA, Philippines – Cebu is celebrated not only for its rich history and colorful traditions but also for its dynamic and diverse food scene.

Bringing even more flavor to the Queen City of the South, SM Supermalls in Cebu is introducing a curated selection of international Asian chains.

Lugang Café

Introduced on April 2 at SM Seaside Cebu, this branch of Lugang Café is the first in the Visayas.

The restaurant offers a variety of classic Taiwanese dishes, with its xiao long bao and three-cup chicken hailed as signature favorites. The store also offers an elegant ambiance and high-quality service, perfect for family gatherings or a simple catch-up with friends.

Hoshino Coffee

If you’re looking for the world-famous fluffy and jiggly soufflé pancake, there’s no better place to go than Hoshino Cafe at SM J Mall in Mandaue City!

Other than the iconic treat, they are renowned for their aromatic hand-drip coffee.

Yakiniku Like

Also located at SM J Mall, Yakiniku Like is a fast-casual grill that lets guests cook their own authentic yakiniki with signature sauces and condiments, offering a complete and interactive Japanese dining experience.

Their menu includes premium meat of beef, pork, and chicken, which can be ordered àla carte or as set meals that come with rice, soup, and either kimchi or salad.

Tim Ho Wan

Tagged as “the world’s most affordable Michelin-star restaurant,” Tim Ho Wan expanded their chain in SM Seaside City Cebu back in 2020.

This Hong Kong dim sum restaurant is widely known for its savory Baked BBQ Pork Buns.

Hawker Chan

Another Asian cuisine legend that people can dine in SM Seaside Cebu is the world-famous Hawker Chan.

Originating from Singapore, they are the first hawker stall to receive a Michelin Star and are known for their Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodles.

On top of these restaurants, SM Supermalls have also announced the much-anticipated opening of Manam and Ooma in Cebu City. According to SM Supermalls president Steven T. Tan, this introduction of new flavors highlights their goal of further “enriching the culinary landscape in the region.”

“Our goal has always been to offer more choices and new experiences to communities we serve. With brands like Lugang Café and other first-in-Cebu dining concepts, we hope to add to Cebu’s already diverse and exciting food landscape,” he said. – with reports by Kevin Ian Lampayan/Rappler.com
