WITH Ramadhan just around the corner, Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie is inviting guests on a journey through Selangor’s diverse culinary landscape with its ‘Sajian Darul Ehsan’ Ramadhan buffet.
Hosted at Warna All Day Dining, this feast celebrates the rich heritage of Malaysia’s beloved dishes, thoughtfully curated by Executive Chef Zaharullail Ashari to bring families, friends and colleagues together in a warm and elegant setting.
"The Ramadhan buffet ‘Sajian Darul Ehsan’ is designed to bring people together over flavours that resonate with tradition and culture.
“We have carefully curated a menu that embodies the rich culinary heritage of Selangor’s finest flavours, ensuring each dish offers a true taste of home," he said.

Expect a spread that takes diners on a journey across Selangor. Highlights include 'Sambal Taun', a dish deeply rooted in the state’s food culture, as well as 'Nasi Ambeng' from Sabak Bernam, a communal dish served with fragrant rice and assorted sides.
Seafood lovers can enjoy 'Siakap Purbakala' and 'Steamed Siakap', inspired by Klang’s coastal cuisine, while the robust 'Kari Kepala Ikan' and 'Gulai Kawah' from Sepang promise to satisfy those craving bold, rich flavours.
For meat lovers, Hulu Langat’s 'Kambing Bakar' and 'Ayam Golek' will be among the must-tries, while classic Ramadhan favourites like 'satay', 'lemang' and 'ketupat' from Gombak add a nostalgic touch.
Meanwhile, 'Soto Jawa’ and 'Sup Berempah' from Kuala Selangor offer comforting, fragrant broths, while the Javanese-inspired ‘Punten Jawa’ brings a unique take on compressed rice with savoury accompaniments.
No Ramadhan spread would be complete without street food, and the buffet offers favourites such as 'Char Kway Teow' and 'Asam Laksa' from Kuala Langat, as well as 'murtabak', 'roti canai' and 'Roti John' from Hulu Selangor. Petaling’s famous 'Shawarma' is also be part of the lineup.
And for those with a sweet tooth, desserts such as 'Wadai Kipeng', featuring soft glutinous rice in a coconut milk sauce and the velvety 'Jenang Kudus' will provide the perfect ending to the meal.

Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie general manager Fariz Victor expressed his excitement about bringing these authentic flavours to diners.
