TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A custom pair of SKYLRK sneakers worn by singer Justin Bieber during his performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show are being auctioned off to raise funds for a children's charity.
According to Billboard on Thursday, July 30, citing ANTARA, the shoes belonging to Justin Bieber that were auctioned were announced by Christie's auction house to have sold for almost US$30,000.
The final price of the low-cut shoes with a “latte” color and pink accents reached US$26,400, or more than 10 times the initial estimate of US$2,000–4,000.
During the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, Justin Bieber entered the field with an acoustic guitar and performed "Everything Hallelujah" from his album "Swag II."
The show was held at the final match between Spain and Argentina at the New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19, which also featured several stars such as Madonna, BTS, Shakira, and Chris Martin from Coldplay.
Besides Justin Bieber, Several items auctioned off raised large sums of money. Clothes and accessories worn by the K-pop idol group BTS generated more than $300,000.
Several items purchased by fans at the auction included the bright yellow costume worn by Shakira in the official music video for "Dai Dai," which sold for US$8,250.
Auction items included an Earth Ball signed by Shakira, Kaka and FIFA President Gianni Infantino for US$3,850, and the bright pink crystal-embellished fingerless gloves Madonna wore to open the show sold for US$41,800.
Additionally, a two-page handwritten lyric sheet for Coldplay's "We Dance," with the lyrics on one page and the halftime show setlist on the other, complete with Chris Martin's signature, sold for US$15,400.
Proceeds from the sale will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund as part of Christie's “One Goal” auction.
The Halftime Show was held in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise US$100 million to expand access to education and football for children worldwide. The fundraising includes a donation of US$1 for every 2026 FIFA World Cup match ticket sold.
