TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - British actor Nicholas Hoult has reportedly joined the cast of HBO's "Harry Potter" season two.
According to Deadline on Tuesday, August 11, Nicholas Hoult will play Gilderoy Lockhart in the second installment of the "Harry Potter" series.
Hoult is best known for playing Lex Luthor in the "Superman" film and will reprise his role in "Man of Tomorrow."
Hoult will play Gilderoy Lockhart, one of the main characters in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." He is known as a fame-obsessed wizard.
The wizard, who mastered various spells to manipulate memories, was recruited by Dumbledore to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Filming for the second season of "Harry Potter" is scheduled to begin this fall, ahead of the Christmas premiere of the first season, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone."
Several names have been listed in the cast of the first season, including the main trio: Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Harry's best friend, Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.
The adult cast include Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall.
