After four years on the global automotive market, the new generation BMW X1 (code U11) has just been imported into Vietnam by THACO as a completely built unit. Thus, the X1 is now the smallest and most affordable SUV in the range of luxury high-riding vehicles from Bavaria.

Overall, BMW's smallest SUV in Vietnam measures 4,500 x 1,845 x 1,642 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,692 mm; a slight increase compared to its predecessor. This contributes to a more spacious interior.

The rear of the car features a robust, masculine design with a thin LED light strip and integrated LED turn signals. The rear bumper has a simple yet sharp design with square, angular lines. Additionally, BMW has equipped this model with an electrically operated trunk lid.

Despite its compact SUV styling, the new X1 sold in Vietnam is equipped with meticulously crafted 19-inch wheels. The large wheels also add a touch of flair, giving the overall vehicle a sporty and dynamic look.

Compared to its predecessor, the 2026 BMW X1 boasts a completely redesigned interior with the BMW Curved Display, featuring a seamless central screen and instrument panel. Many physical buttons have been removed, replaced by features integrated directly into the central screen.

Instead of the traditional gear shift knob, this model uses an electronic paddle shifter with various buttons such as My Modes, Auto Hold, volume control, and panoramic camera activation.

The car's interior features Veganza leather upholstery in a brown and black color scheme, along with numerous chrome accents that enhance its luxurious feel. Furthermore, the front seats are designed in a sporty style, providing excellent support and are equipped with multi-directional power adjustments.

In addition to driver-friendly amenities, the 2026 BMW X1 also boasts a premium Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers, delivering immersive audio.

In terms of performance, this model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with the code B48. This engine produces 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque at a relatively low rev range, from 1,450 rpm. Thanks to this, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.

Currently, THACO only distributes a single version of this model, the SDrive20i, priced at 1.689 billion VND. Compared to its compatriot competitor, the Audi Q3, the BMW X1 is priced 410 million VND lower.
