Mui Ne's resort, sports , and seafood culinary offerings are a major draw for tourists during this holiday season.

A vibrant market with diverse destinations.

With its long coastline, fine sandy beaches, clear blue sea, pleasant climate, and a system of high-end coastal resorts, destinations like Phan Thiet and Mui Ne continue to affirm their appeal during this year's holiday season.

According to domestic accommodation search data on the digital travel platform Agoda, Phan Thiet is among the top 5 most searched domestic destinations by Vietnamese tourists for the long holiday period of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and April 30th - May 1st. Searches for Phan Thiet increased by 72% compared to 2025. Meanwhile, the online travel platform Booking.com recorded Mui Ne as one of the top 10 most searched destinations in Vietnam by international tourists, an increase of approximately 20% compared to the same period last year.

Observations at accommodation establishments in Mui Ne ward show that the number of bookings increases sharply as the holiday approaches. Many resorts and large hotels are operating at 60-90% capacity, and some are even fully booked during peak days from April 30th to May 2nd. Most tourists are choosing 3-day, 2-night packages.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long, representative of Malibu Resort, said that over the past month, booking and reservation activities have been extremely active. According to the booking system, during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays, the resort's room occupancy reached its maximum level.

This year, the majority of visitors to Mui Ne are domestic tourists from provinces and cities in the southern region, especially Ho Chi Minh City. Besides corporate groups and organizations, small groups of individual travelers and families traveling by private vehicle still account for a significant proportion.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, General Director of Mui Ne Bay Resort, due to fluctuations in the fuel market, tourists are tightening their spending and tending to prioritize destinations that are nearby, convenient, and reasonably priced. Mui Ne is popular because of its convenient access to expressways, which shortens travel time from Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, during hot weather, the resort, sports, and seafood culinary offerings in Mui Ne are also a plus point, attracting tourists to cool off.

Resorts in Lam Dong are ready to welcome tourists.

Besides traditional destinations, Phu Quy Special Economic Zone continues to be an attractive choice for this year's holiday. With its pristine beauty, cool climate, and experiences such as snorkeling to see coral reefs, paddleboarding, and visiting floating fish farms, Phu Quy attracts a large number of tourists, especially young people. This year's holiday coincides with a period of calm seas and gentle waves, further creating favorable conditions for the development of island tourism.

Mr. Ngo Minh Pho, Head of the Phu Quy Tourism Association, shared: Currently, all accommodation facilities, hotels, and homestays on the island are fully booked for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays. The peak days are April 25th-26th and April 30th - May 1st. Approximately 12,000 visitors are expected to come to the island. Besides implementing measures to ensure the safety of tourists, the local authorities continue to promote the campaign against plastic waste, urging visitors not to bring plastic waste to the island.

Focus on quality and safety.

To accommodate the anticipated surge in visitors, coastal tourist areas and destinations in Lam Dong province have prepared the necessary infrastructure, equipment, and personnel. In addition, these establishments are developing numerous products and services in response to the local tourism stimulus program.

According to Nguyen Duc Tien, General Director of Mui Ne Bay Resort: Although current operating costs are quite high due to the general situation, the resort is still implementing a stimulus program from April to December 2026 with discounts of 15-20% depending on the product and service packages to share the expenses with tourists. Alongside improving service quality, the resort is also promoting free entertainment activities to enhance the tourist experience, such as: building a check-in point at Binh Minh Bridge in Eo Gio; promoting SUP paddling tours and exploring Hon Lau; and a series of indoor and outdoor experiential activities for children…

Mr. Huynh Thanh Truc, Director of the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Tourist Area Management Board, informed: To ensure a safe and healthy tourism environment, the unit has issued a document to businesses and tourism service providers operating in the area, requesting them to strengthen management and strictly control security and order; maintain environmental hygiene, ensure food safety, display prices according to regulations, improve service quality, and ensure rescue, emergency response, and drowning prevention. The Management Board has established inspection teams throughout the holiday period, focusing on checking activities related to buying and selling, soliciting tourists, and environmental hygiene at public tourist areas and attractions.

The April 30th - May 1st holiday not only provides a boost to the tourism market but is also expected to mark the beginning of the summer tourism season in Lam Dong, as the demand for relaxation and entertainment among the people begins to increase sharply. To attract tourists, Lam Dong province has activated a large-scale "Tourism Stimulus Program 2026".

In addition to deep discounts and attractive promotions, these organizations are also aiming to build service supply chains linked to improving quality and enhancing the visitor experience.

With coordinated preparations and efforts to improve service quality, Lam Dong's coastal tourism is expected to continue to be a highlight, attracting a large number of tourists during this year's holiday season; contributing to Lam Dong's goal of welcoming approximately 25 million tourists in 2026.
