Affordable price like a Class A car, but with features exceeding those of a Class B car.
With a list price starting from 689 million VND for the Eco version and 745 million VND for the Plus version, the VinFast VF 6 already has a highly competitive price on the market. However, according to experts, in May 2026, this electric vehicle will become even more accessible thanks to a series of short-term promotions from VinFast.
Reviewer Phùng Thế Trọng (Xế Cộng channel) calculated that, if all policies such as "Intense for a Green Future" (direct 6% discount), "Gasoline-for-Electricity Conversion" (an additional 3% if converting from a gasoline to an electric vehicle), and the government's exemption from registration fees are fully implemented, the VF 6 would only have an on-the-road price starting from 630 million VND (Eco version) and from 660 million VND (Plus version).
According to Mr. Trong, this is considered an "unbelievable" price because, within this price range, if customers choose a gasoline-powered car, they usually only have access to A-segment models, or standard versions with stripped-down features of B-segment cars.
Notably, VinFast also implements an installment payment policy with zero down payment, while supporting a fixed interest rate of 7% per year for the first 3 years (instead of the direct discount of 6%). This policy helps young customers or families buying their first car optimize their cash flow while still owning a model with value exceeding its segment.
According to reviewer Phan Anh (from the Xe Hay channel), VinFast vehicles in general have very solid "hardware." This robust body structure is key to the VF 6's excellent sound insulation.
In addition, the VF 6 boasts an independent multi-link rear suspension system – a "luxury" feature in its segment, as most B-segment cars sold in Vietnam only use torsion beam suspension. This detail contributes to its smooth and stable ride.
In its Plus version, the VF 6 boasts an electric motor with 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, specifications far exceeding those of its gasoline-powered competitors, which typically only offer around 100-120 horsepower.
The driving experience is further enhanced by a range of modern amenities such as a 12.9-inch screen, HUD display, 360-degree camera, air-purifying air conditioning, and especially a series of useful advanced driver assistance features (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, etc.
Charging costs nothing, maintenance is cheaper than a motorbike.
For customers who use their vehicles frequently, the VinFast VF 6 also offers outstanding economic benefits thanks to the privilege of free battery charging at V-Green charging stations, valid until February 10, 2029.
According to Mr. Phan Anh, typically, filling a tank of gas for a B-segment car costs about 1 million VND to travel 600-650 km. For a user who travels an average of about 2,000 km per month, the fuel cost would be around 3 million VND per month. Therefore,
Simply by taking advantage of the free charging policy for the next nearly 3 years, VF 6 owners have saved almost 100 million VND.
Furthermore, electric vehicles have a shorter maintenance cycle (15,000 km) compared to their gasoline-powered counterparts (commonly 5,000 km), reducing travel time and costs to the workshop. Due to their simple design, electric vehicles don't require oil changes, spark plug replacements, or belt changes, so each maintenance service only costs a few hundred thousand dong for basic wear and tear items like brakes or tires. In contrast, a regular maintenance service for a gasoline vehicle can cost between 2 and 5 million dong.
"The VF 6 in particular, and VinFast electric vehicles in general, offer significant advantages over gasoline-powered cars in terms of running costs," Phan Anh concluded.
To further illustrate the difference, he also shared his personal experience of having to spend about 5 million VND for the 20,000 km maintenance of an Italian motorcycle model, while the maintenance cost for a VF 6 at the same milestone was only about 300,000-500,000 VND.
Beyond the economic advantages, users also have peace of mind thanks to a network of over 400 service centers and 150,000 charging ports nationwide. The after-sales policy is also a noteworthy plus, with VinFast offering a vehicle warranty of up to 7 years and an 8-year battery warranty, significantly better than the average 5 years offered by many competitors in the same price range.
Therefore, experts consider the VF 6 to be a top value-for-money choice for families looking to upgrade to a spacious, powerful, and technologically advanced SUV while still optimizing running costs.
