Ali Hoang Duong has released the music video "That or a Dream ," after a long period of preparation. This is the first musical product the 9X singer has released in 2026, before his participation in Tinh Ha Say Hi. The project has attracted attention as it brings together two young talents, Uyen An and Vo Dien Gia Huy.

The male singer said that after exploring and experiencing many modern music trends, he realized that ballads are still where audiences can best feel his voice and emotions. "After a period of experimenting with many different musical styles, I realized that what audiences always love and remember most about me are my ballads. That's where Ali's voice and emotions are most clearly expressed," the singer shared.

If the music itself is a narrative, the music video further expands the story using cinematic language. “I feel that simply telling a love story in a familiar way might not be enough for people to fully grasp what I want to convey. The music video is also my way of showing appreciation for many different forms of love, from friendship and romantic love to relationships that aren't limited by stereotypes. For me, love always has the right to exist in its own way,” he shared.
For Ali Hoang Duong, this project is not simply a single product, but also the starting point for the artistic direction he wants to pursue in the future. The 9X singer further revealed: “Sometimes, in the process of going in circles to search for things outside, we forget what our core values are. Therefore, I hope this will be a new milestone in my musical journey.”

Speaking about inviting Tran Thanh's sister to star in the music video, Ali Hoang Duong recounted that initially, Uyen An and Vo Dien Gia Huy didn't immediately accept. Instead, the male singer had to send them the song and share the story idea to convince them. "I think what made them accept wasn't how close we were, but because they genuinely liked the song and saw the seriousness of the team towards this project," he affirmed.
When asked about the cast's fees, Ali Hoang Duong said that this is something many people are curious about. According to him, when working, he wants everything to be as professional as possible. “I really appreciate the time, effort, and support that Uyen An and Vo Dien Gia Huy have given to the project. The fact that they both agreed to participate is something I'm grateful for. I even had to beg them to accept that fee, and I'm still begging them,” he revealed.

Speaking about his expectations for finding a hit song for his career, Ali Hoang Duong said that there were times when he pondered this. However, the longer he works in the industry, the more he realizes that each artist has their own unique journey.
"Looking back on the journey so far, I don't think it was a wasted time. The experiments, the successes and failures, have all helped me understand myself better and understand what the audience wants to hear and enjoy from me. With this MV, 'Real or Dream ,' I hope it will be a new milestone in my musical journey," the 9X singer shared.
