According to French Vogue magazine, from enchanting terraced rice fields to the majestic Ha Long Bay, and across major cities, Vietnam is predicted to become the most sought-after travel destination of 2026.

On December 29th, an article published on Vogue France – the travel section of the world-renowned fashion magazine Vogue – indicated that Vietnam will be “one of the most outstanding destinations in Asia in 2026,” thanks to its harmonious blend of diverse nature, rich cultural history, and the dynamism of modern cities.

The article "Why is Vietnam one of Asia's most attractive destinations in 2026?" states: "Rich in millennia of cultural traditions and possessing some of the most spectacular landscapes, Vietnam offers visitors a rare luxury - an authentic beauty that remains almost untouched by time."

The magazine states that Vietnam not only boasts long coastlines and beautiful sandy beaches like Mui Ne or Phu Quoc, but also possesses primeval forests, magnificent cave systems like those in Phong Nha - Ke Bang, and many other natural landscapes that captivate tourists. These destinations are gradually attracting adventure and ecotourism enthusiasts from all over the world .

Vogue France also highlighted Vietnam's rich cultural and historical heritage. The country boasts numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as Ha Long Bay – a globally renowned landmark with thousands of uniquely shaped limestone islands, Hue with its complex of ancient imperial relics, and Hoi An ancient town, preserving its ancient architecture and reflecting the cultural exchange between East and West over many centuries.

Furthermore, the modern pace of life and the rapid development of major cities like Da Nang – a dynamic port city near many central heritage sites, or Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with their unique culinary districts and creative spaces – make Vietnam a destination not only for sightseeing but also for experiencing contemporary life in depth.

Vietnam's tourism industry is also on a strong recovery trajectory after the COVID-19 pandemic, with the reopening to international tourists, the development of transportation infrastructure and services, and attractive stimulus policies. This contributes to boosting its appeal to foreign markets and propelling Vietnam onto the list of preferred choices for exploring Asia in 2026.

Reportedly, the Vietnamese tourism landscape in 2025 – a crucial stepping stone for 2026 – also recorded impressive growth in visitor numbers and bookings. According to official statistics from the General Statistics Office and the National Tourism Administration, in the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed over 19.15 million international visitors, an increase of approximately 21% compared to the same period in 2024 and surpassing the 2019 record – an unprecedented achievement. The number of international visitors in November 2025 reached nearly 1.98 million, an increase of almost 16% compared to the same period last year.
