Japan's Fujitsu is collaborating with US chip giant Nvidia to develop a platform that integrates multiple artificial intelligence agents to automate workflows.

On December 24th, Japanese technology giant Fujitsu announced that it has partnered with American chipmaker Nvidia to develop a platform integrating multiple artificial intelligence (AI) agents to automate workflows.

This platform has the capability to both develop AI agents and link them together. Nvidia's agent development tools integrate Takane—Fujitsu's large-scale Japanese language model.

The platform is also equipped with security technology, allowing AI agents to operate while simultaneously protecting confidential business data.

Initially, Fujitsu used this platform to develop and operate AI agents in a pilot project aimed at optimizing the procurement process.

These agents automatically check product names, prices, quantities, and other data listed on business forms to ensure they comply with internal policies.

Trial versions of the platform are currently being offered. Fujitsu plans to enable the use of actual customer data during the current fiscal year, which ends in March.

In October, Fujitsu and Nvidia announced plans to collaborate on development across multiple areas, including artificial intelligence semiconductors. This new platform is part of those efforts.

In the future, Fujitsu plans to use AI agents for robots. Fujitsu and Nvidia have stated that they will collaborate on research into physical artificial intelligence with the Japanese industrial robotics company Yaskawa Electric. The two companies expect to use the AI agent platform to develop physical artificial intelligence.
