This information was provided by Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of the Hue City Department of Tourism. According to her, out of the total number of visitors to Hue, international tourists accounted for approximately 50,000, and domestic tourists approximately 35,000. The number of overnight stays reached approximately 45,000, an increase of over 15% compared to the same period last year, including about 28,500 international tourists and about 16,500 domestic tourists.

The tourism sector assessed that favorable weather conditions and a series of well-organized cultural and tourism activities at the beginning of the year contributed to maintaining Hue's attractiveness during the holiday period. The reception and service for tourists at attractions generally met requirements. Food safety was strictly enforced, and no related health incidents were recorded throughout the holiday.

On the very first day of 2026, the city's tourism industry coordinated activities to welcome the first visitors to Hue by air and sea at Phu Bai International Airport and Chan May Port, creating a vibrant and friendly atmosphere to start the new year.

Looking ahead to 2026, Hue city aims to welcome approximately 7-7.5 million tourists, generating around 15,000 billion VND in tourism revenue, and continuing to leverage its heritage, culture, and urban tourism infrastructure to maintain stable and sustainable growth.
