Phu Quoc Island (An Giang province) has just been honored by the prestigious travel magazine DestinAsian as one of the top 10 most beautiful islands in Asia in 2026, as part of the Readers' Choice Awards, voted on by readers.

Accordingly, in the "Best Islands" category, Phu Quoc Island (Pearl Island) impressively rose to second place in Asia, being the only representative from Vietnam on this year's list.

This is also the third consecutive year that Phu Quoc Island has been included in this ranking. Based on previous years' results, the Pearl Island ranked 6th in 2024, rose to 5th in 2025, and reached the runner-up position in 2026.

The continuous rise in rankings demonstrates Phu Quoc Island's growing appeal to international tourists, perfected by iconic structures that transcend the boundaries of conventional design. A prime example is the Kiss Bridge, the world's only touchless bridge.

Recently, the Hon Thom cable car line on Phu Quoc Island was also selected as one of the 11 most spectacular cable car experiences in Asia by Travel + Leisure.

Within the framework of the DestinAsian Readers Choice Awards 2026, several resorts in Phu Quoc were also included in the list of “Best Vietnam Resorts” such as JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort, New World Phu Quoc Resort, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, Regent Phu Quoc...

Furthermore, APEC 2027's selection of Phu Quoc as the host destination promises to attract significant attention from the international community.

Phu Quoc Island, often referred to as the "Pearl Island," consistently ranks among the world's most popular tourist destinations. In 2025 alone, Phu Quoc welcomed 8.3 million tourists, exceeding the target by 18.1% and increasing by 38.5% compared to 2024. Of these, international visitors reached 1.9 million, a 93.6% increase.
