After parting ways with world number one star Carlos Alcaraz, coach Juan Carlos Ferrero has spoken out about the disagreements between the two.
Speaking to the press, coach Juan Carlos Ferrero said: "It's true that after a year, we need to review some issues related to the contract. In the new contract, there are points we don't agree on."
Alcaraz's team was thinking about what was best for him. I was thinking about what was best for myself, and that led to a disagreement between the two sides.

We could have resolved the issue if we had sat down and talked, but in the end we didn't, so we couldn't move forward. That's really what happened. There are points I won't go into detail about, but our viewpoints were different."
Under the guidance of coach Ferrero, Alcaraz matured significantly and became one of the two best tennis players today, alongside Jannik Sinner. Alcaraz has won 6 Grand Slam titles. This season, Alcaraz won 2 Grand Slams, Roland Garros and the US Open, and finished the season as world number one.
Carlos Alcaraz won three ATP Masters 1000 tournaments: Monte Carlo Masters, Rome Masters, and Cincinnati Open, along with three ATP 500 tournaments: Rotterdam Open, Queen's Club Championship, and Japan Open.
The Spanish star won 71 matches, lost 9, and claimed 8 titles. This was an outstanding season for the 22-year-old, so his decision to part ways with coach Juan Carlos Ferrero came as a surprise to many experts.
