Those who tried this trend said they were fascinated by the sound and feel of the gummy candies as they crumbled between their teeth.

As the hype surrounding "Dujjonku," or Dubai gummy cookies, begins to die down, South Korean social media users are shifting to a new trending snack called "jelly eolmeok," or frozen gummy candy.

This trend simply involves freezing store-bought gummy candies until they harden before eating them. However, despite its simplicity, this method of eating quickly became popular and well-liked. The "crunching" sound of frozen gummy candies became a viral phenomenon on Instagram, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter).

Those who tried this trend said they were fascinated by the sound and feel of the gummy candies as they crumbled between their teeth.

And as this trend spread on social media, users even shared tips on choosing brands and the ideal freezing time. Accordingly, the ideal candy is when the outer shell is firm and the inside is still slightly soft.

Social media users also frequently debate the texture differences between freezing marshmallows for four hours versus eight hours.

Search data shows that interest in this trend is skyrocketing. According to Naver DataLab's search trend index, queries related to freezing marshmallows remained below 10 until the end of January. However, this index surpassed 20 in early February before surging to a peak of 100 on February 17th.

This shift marks a transition from simply buying a product to experiencing it.

In this new snacking trend, the value of a food item no longer lies in its brand or ingredients, but in its ability to create the perfect crunching sound in front of the camera for a global online audience.

These kinds of snacking experiences are no longer new in Vietnam. Recently, a way of eating yogurt with biscuits, which provides a very enjoyable sensation, has been circulating on Vietnamese forums and social media.

According to descriptions on social media, combining cake with yogurt creates an easy-to-make, no-bake chilled dessert with a rich, creamy flavor that melts in your mouth.

Simply layer the cake and yogurt alternately, refrigerate overnight, and you'll have a delicious dessert. This dish is famous for its super easy preparation, attractive appearance, and delicious flavor, perfect for parties or as a snack.

Many internet users even commented that this yogurt dessert tastes just as good as other popular cold desserts like tiramisu, cheesecake, and mousse.

The process is simple:

Ingredients: Coffee Joy biscuits or regular biscuits (Cosy), TH creamy yogurt, optionally cocoa powder or chocolate chips for decoration.

Instructions: Arrange the biscuits at the bottom of the container/mold, spread a layer of TH yogurt on top with a thickness of about 0.5cm, and repeat the layers until all the biscuits are used up.

Refrigerate: Leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour to overnight to allow the cake to soften and the flavors to blend. When serving, you can sprinkle with cocoa powder to enhance the flavor and add a touch of elegance.
