Toyota has officially introduced the five-seater Land Cruiser FJ SUV to the Thai market, with a starting price of 1,269,000 Baht (approximately 1 billion VND).
Toyota has officially launched the all-new 2026 Land Cruiser FJ compact SUV in Thailand. The pricing for the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in this market has also been announced.
Accordingly, the 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ SUV is only available in one version: the 2.7 6AT 4WD, with a starting price of 1.269 million Baht (approximately 1.04 billion VND). As expected, this model is more expensive than the standard version of the Toyota Fortuner (1.239 million Baht).
Considered one of Toyota Thailand's flagship models, the Land Cruiser FJ boasts a completely different design compared to its "sibling" Fortuner, despite sharing a nearly identical platform. According to Toyota, this SUV combines aesthetic design with practicality. Features such as LED headlights, LED fog lights, side steps, and a side-opening tailgate all maximize practical usability.
In terms of dimensions, the Land Cruiser FJ is 4,610 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, and 1,890 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. Ground clearance of up to 245 mm and a wading depth of 700 mm clearly demonstrate this model's off-road capability. Meanwhile, a turning radius of just 5.5 m makes city driving significantly more convenient.
The exterior design of the Land Cruiser FJ prioritizes practicality with details that strongly reflect its off-road SUV characteristics. The double wishbone front suspension and four-link rear suspension with coil springs ensure stability when traveling on various terrains. The vehicle uses 18-inch wheels with 265/60R18 tires, and comes with a full-size spare tire.
Inside the cabin, the Land Cruiser FJ prioritizes simplicity and durability with a predominantly black color scheme. The interior is equipped with basic amenities such as a four-way adjustable leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a PM2.5 particulate filter system. The rear seats can slide, recline, and fold flexibly, expanding the cargo space to over 1,500 liters when needed.
The in-car entertainment system is adequate, featuring a 12.3-inch central display, a 7-inch screen behind the steering wheel, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 6-speaker sound system. This configuration aligns with a practical approach rather than a focus on cutting-edge technology.
The Land Cruiser FJ's biggest highlight lies in its safety system, equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes features such as forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and full-speed adaptive cruise control.
In addition, the vehicle features a 360-degree camera with a simulated "see-through" function, significantly assisting with off-road driving. Terrain assistance systems such as hill descent control, hill start assist, and traction control are also fully integrated.
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ features the familiar 2TR-FE 4-cylinder, 2.7L gasoline engine, shared with its sibling, the Fortuner. The engine delivers a maximum power of 166 horsepower and a maximum torque of 245 Nm, meeting Euro 6 emission standards. This engine is designed for 4WD systems to handle harsh driving conditions.
In addition, it comes with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering a fuel consumption of 9.6 liters/100 km in mixed driving conditions. According to Toyota, this model can ensure stable responsiveness and traction in all conditions, both on city streets and off-road. The vehicle's body-on-frame chassis is reinforced at the rear for increased safety and handling, meeting Land Cruiser standards.
In addition, Toyota increased the rigidity of the rear frame by shortening its length. The rear suspension system's mounting points were reinforced with additional welds for increased strength. Furthermore, Toyota equipped the vehicle with an engine underbody protection plate, reinforced the crossbeams and rear beams to support the 4WD system and towing capabilities. The rear tow hooks were integrated into the frame for increased durability.
With an accessible price point, yet still boasting a body-on-frame chassis and four-wheel drive, the 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is considered a "scaled-down version" of the legendary Land Cruiser. This model targets young,
adventurous customers who need an SUV that's both versatile enough for city driving and ready for off-road adventures.
