According to the source, President Florentino Perez personally informed Arbeloa after Real Madrid were eliminated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals (losing 4-6 over two legs).

The reasons given for Real Madrid's decision to replace Arbeloa with a more experienced coach were: the team failed to meet expectations in any competition, was eliminated from the Copa del Rey by a weaker opponent, had no chance of competing with Barca in La Liga (currently 9 points behind), and was knocked out of the Champions League.

Above all, there's the worrying statistic for Real Madrid under Arbeloa: losing 7 out of 21 matches. He also failed to manage the egos in the dressing room, leading to internal instability…

Arbeloa will manage Real Madrid until the end of the season, but will not leave the Bernabeu; instead, he will return to his original role with the youth team. Currently, Real Madrid is actively searching for a new manager, with prominent names mentioned such as Jurgen Klopp, Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Nagelsmann, etc.

Among the candidates, Zidane's return to Bernabeu is ruled out, with news from France suggesting the 'bald man' is just waiting until after the 2026 World Cup to take over the 'hot seat' in the French national team.

Amidst the heated debate surrounding Real Madrid's next head coach, Defensa conducted a poll on potential candidates, with the results showing Jurgen Klopp being the most favored by the club's fans.

Specifically, out of 16,276 participants, Jurgen Klopp received 36% of the votes, followed by Zidane (14%), Nagelsmann (11%), Deschamps (7%), and so on.

The former Liverpool manager, now the global football director for Red Bull, is reportedly not ruling out a return to coaching. President Perez is also keen on Klopp, but the two sides have some criteria that are not easy to agree on.

Klopp is known for his straightforwardness and his preference for making all technical decisions himself, selecting the right players for his system. However, at Bernabeu, 'boss' Perez has the ultimate say and is believed to still be involved in everything, including player acquisitions.

Regarding the signing of Mbappe, there are reports that coach Ancelotti initially didn't want the French star, but he was the player President Perez wanted and had to wait seven years to get him.
