The 2027 Kia Seltos has been revealed - with increased size and upgraded technology.

Kia has just released teaser images of the second-generation Seltos B-segment SUV ahead of its official debut at the 2026 New York Auto Show on April 1st.
Compared to its predecessor, the new 2027 Kia Seltos has increased in size, with a length of 4,430 mm (up 45 mm) and a wheelbase of 2,690 mm (up 60 mm). This increase in size is expected to improve interior space and usability.
In terms of design, the new generation Seltos features many changes towards a more modern and robust look. The front of the car uses split-layer LED headlights combined with an enlarged grille.
The bodywork tends to be more boxy with distinct embossed lines, while the rear has been redesigned with slim LED taillights, in a style similar to Kia's electric vehicle models.
The product lineup includes three versions: standard, GT-Line, and X-Line, differing primarily in exterior details and equipment. The US market version uses yellow daytime running lights, while other markets use white ones.
Inside the cabin, Kia equips the vehicle with a curved display that integrates two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument panel and infotainment system. Features include voice assistant, over-the-air software updates, a premium sound system, ambient interior lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
Thanks to its increased size, the 2027 Kia Seltos boasts a cargo capacity of 536 liters. The two-tiered cargo floor is adjustable for enhanced versatility.
In terms of powertrain, the new Seltos offers a range of engine options. In some markets, it's equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 147 horsepower, along with a 1.6L turbocharged engine delivering 178 or 190 horsepower.
Additionally, Kia has confirmed that it will add a self-charging hybrid version to the next-generation Seltos SUV for the US market, although detailed specifications have not yet been officially released.
It is predicted that the car will come standard with 6 airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, and a rearview camera. Higher-end versions will add an advanced driver assistance package with more active safety and parking assistance features such as a 360-degree camera and blind spot warning.
Currently, Kia has not announced specific versions and powertrains for the North American market. Full details about the next-generation Seltos are expected to be released at the launch event on April 1st.
