Ha Long Bay is witnessing a surge in international tourists, far surpassing domestic visitors, with nearly 900,000 visits by the beginning of 2026, demonstrating the exceptional appeal of this world natural heritage site.
In early April, at popular tourist spots in Ha Long Bay, it's easy to spot foreign tourists strolling, taking photos, exploring caves, or kayaking amidst the majestic limestone mountains. The lively atmosphere, while still retaining its characteristic tranquility, makes for a unique experience.

According to data from the beginning of 2026 to April 13th, Ha Long Bay welcomed nearly 900,000 visitors who purchased tickets using electronic invoices, of which 814,977 were international tourists, accounting for over 91%, while Vietnamese tourists only reached 77,721. Total revenue from entrance fees reached nearly 300 billion VND. These figures clearly show the trend of international tourists dominating Ha Long Bay.

Reporters from Thanh Nien newspaper observed that at Ti Top Island, Co Cave, and other tourist attractions in Ha Long Bay, many foreign tourists were enthusiastically experiencing the scenery. Peter Anderson (a tourist from the US) shared: "This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. The limestone landscape at sea is very unique, unlike anywhere else. I especially enjoyed being able to walk close to the water's edge and experience nature in its almost pristine state."

Meanwhile, Anna German (a German tourist) said: "I had seen many pictures of Ha Long Bay before coming, but the reality was much more impressive. The peaceful atmosphere, the blue water, and the rocky mountains created a feeling like a painting."
In fact, Ha Long Bay is gradually becoming a "must-go" destination for international tourists visiting Vietnam. The strong recovery of the international market, especially from Europe, the US, and South Korea, has given a clear boost to Quang Ninh tourism .
With its current appeal, Ha Long Bay is not only a symbol of Vietnamese tourism but is also asserting its position on the international tourism map, a place where tourists from all over the world come to admire this rare natural wonder firsthand.
