Leaving Old Trafford next summer when his contract expires, Jadon Sancho is likely to return to Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho is currently playing for Aston Villa on loan from Manchester United. He will become a free agent from June onwards, when his contract with the Red Devils officially expires.
According to Sky Sports, the English winger is looking for his next challenge and has received several offers.
Dortmund were among them and expressed their desire to secure his services. It seems Sancho chose Dortmund, over other teams interested in him.
The 26-year-old striker and representatives from the German club have sat down to negotiate the specific details of the contract.
Dortmund's head coach, Niko Kovac, has also given the green light for Sancho to return to Signal Iduna Park for a third time.
The final decision rests with Sporting Director Ole Book and CEO Lars Ricken – the two will decide whether or not to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.
Sancho emerged as one of Dortmund's most promising talents, scoring 50 goals and providing 64 assists in 137 appearances during his early stint with the yellow and black club.
His progress led to a sensational £73 million transfer to Manchester United in the summer of 2021. However, Jadon Sancho has never been able to replicate that achievement.
He only scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 83 appearances over the past 5 years.
