According to sales consultants, some dealerships in Vietnam have started accepting deposits for the Geely EX2. With an estimated price of over 500 million VND, this new electric vehicle from Geely promises to create an interesting race in the fiercely competitive urban car segment.
The Geely EX2, known as the Geome Xingyuan in the Chinese domestic market, makes an impression at first glance with its predominantly rounded design language. Overall, the car exudes a modern, friendly feel with soft lines, from the oval-shaped LED headlights to the semi-recessed door handles that reduce air resistance.
Although its dimensions (length x width x height) of 4,135 x 1,805 x 1,570 mm position the EX2 in the A-segment, what surprised experts was its wheelbase of 2,650 mm. This figure is comparable to models in the B-segment, promising significantly more spacious seating than competitors in the same price range.
Inside the cockpit, the Geely EX2 truly revolutionizes the visual experience. The car eliminates clutter in favor of a minimalist yet luxurious style. The centerpiece is a massive 14.6-inch infotainment screen, combined with an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, running on the smooth Galaxy Flyme Auto operating system.
Beyond just focusing on technology, practicality is also emphasized, with the manufacturer strategically placing 36 storage compartments throughout the cabin. Thanks to the advantages of the electric vehicle platform with its flat floor, rear legroom is extremely comfortable. The luggage compartment can be expanded from 375 liters to 1,320 liters when the second row of seats is folded down, flexibly meeting the needs of carrying luggage for short
trips .
In terms of performance, the Geely EX2 in the international market offers two battery options: 30.12 kWh and 40.16 kWh, providing a range of 310 km and 410 km respectively on a single full charge. Notably, fast charging technology allows the vehicle to charge from 30% to 80% in just over 20 minutes, reducing user concerns about waiting time.
The top-of-the-line EX2 features a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This system includes safety features typically found only in luxury vehicles, such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and a 540-degree camera providing comprehensive underbody visibility, giving drivers maximum confidence in congested traffic conditions in Vietnam.
