Arsenal are preparing one of the most ambitious deals of the summer transfer window, having identified Julian Alvarez as their top target for the attack.

The striker, born in 2000 (he will turn 26 on January 31st), currently playing for Atletico Madrid, is considered the ideal piece for manager Mikel Arteta to complete his squad as he aims to dominate the Premier League and conquer the Champions League.

According to sources from Spain, this plan is being strongly promoted from the top management at Emirates Stadium, with a significant influence from Sporting Director Andrea Berta.

Berta played a key role in bringing Alvarez from Man City to Atletico in 2024. He then joined the London club.

Experts predict this will be a difficult target for Arsenal, but not impossible.

Arsenal highly value Alvarez's all-around abilities. The Argentinian player is capable of playing wide, pressing intensely, and has a diverse range of finishing skills.

More importantly, he has extensive experience playing in the Premier League . Pep Guardiola has yet to find a suitable replacement to support Erling Haaland.

With Arsenal still lacking a top-class center forward capable of deciding big matches, Alvarez has emerged as the clearest solution.

The biggest obstacle lies in Atletico's firm stance. Julian Alvarez has a contract until 2030, with a release clause of up to 500 million euros.

The Spanish club will only consider offers exceeding €100 million. This means Arsenal may have to break their own transfer record.

Nevertheless, Arsenal persevered. With their growing financial resources and determination to elevate the team, the Emirates Stadium management was determined to bring Julian Alvarez back to the Premier League.
