Premier League: Shocking 0-3 home defeat leaves Tottenham Hotspur in dire straits.

Striker Igor Jesus opened the scoring for Nottingham Forest late in the first half. Attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute, and Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi sealed the 3-0 victory in the 87th minute.

This victory allowed Nottingham Forest to overtake Tottenham Hotspur in the standings and move up to 16th place with 32 points. Nottingham Forest have been unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches.

Conversely, Tottenham Hotspur, once considered one of the "Big 6" teams in the Premier League, have gone 13 consecutive matches without a win, including 8 defeats.

Tottenham Hotspur have dropped to 17th place with 30 points, just one point above the relegation zone.

In the Tyne-Wear derby in North East England, home team Newcastle United surprisingly lost to Sunderland 1-2 despite taking the lead.

Winger Anthony Gordon opened the scoring for Newcastle United in the 10th minute. Sunderland's two goals were scored by Chemsdine Talbi (57th minute) and Brian Brobbey (90th minute).

Similar to Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United's attack had an ineffective day, with only 3 out of 15 shots on target. Meanwhile, Sunderland had 14 shots, 5 of which were on target.

In addition, Sunderland overtook Newcastle United to move into 11th place in the Premier League table.

In the other match, Aston Villa beat West Ham 2-0 at home, solidifying their fourth-place position in the league table with 54 points. West Ham remained in 18th place with 29 points.
