Before the rainy season begins, many bird species enter their breeding season, including the Blue-tailed Bee-eater. This is a very beautiful bird that lives only in coastal sandy areas.

In the western region, from around April to May each year is the time when the green-tailed bulbul digs burrows, mates, and breeds. Their preferred prey consists of various insects and bugs. The appearance and development of the green-tailed bulbul will contribute to reducing damage caused by pests and diseases in agriculture .

With a body length of about 30cm, when it spreads its wings, the green-tailed thrush reveals a vibrant plumage. Under the sunlight, its wide-spread wings make its flight even more impressive. The moment the female waits for the male to bring back food and calls out is most cherished by wildlife photographers.

The journey of the green-tailed thrush in finding a home, hunting for prey, and mating is not simple. They usually choose to live in places with sufficient food and in secluded areas. Coastal sandy dunes are the common home of the green-tailed thrush flock.

The moments that photographers often call the "mating season of the crested myna" are truly captivating because of the behavior of this bird species.

Some images of the green-tailed thrush were recorded in Luu Nghiep Anh commune, Vinh Long province.
