Wayne Rooney surprised many when he ranked Viktor Gyokeres in the top 3 best players in the Premier League 2025/26.
Wayne Rooney has just made comments about Premier League players.
Speaking on Amazon Prime , the Man United legend explained why: Gyokeres brings value beyond goals. “Arsenal have been looking for a new No. 9 for many years. Gyokeres came in and did very well. His spirit, ability to keep the ball and his tenacity are things I appreciate,” Rooney said.
According to Rooney, the leader of the vote after 11 rounds is Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo. The striker maintained his impressive form from last season, scoring six goals and providing three assists, behind only Erling Haaland in total goal contributions.
The second name is Bryan Mbeumo, a new signing for MU. Although the new team had a difficult start, Mbeumo still scored five goals, continuing to show his versatility and sharpness from his time at Brentford.
