The 2026 Lexus IS300h in Thailand features a host of design, comfort, and safety upgrades. Unfortunately, this model is no longer sold in Vietnam.
At the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2026, Lexus launched an updated version of its IS luxury sedan for Thai customers. In this market, the car is available in two versions: the IS300h F Sport and the IS300h Luxury. The 2026 Lexus IS300h Luxury starts at 2.799 million baht (approximately 2.29 billion VND).
In terms of appearance, the 2026 Lexus IS300h Luxury adopts the Intelligent Sport design style with some exterior changes. In terms of dimensions, the car remains the same as its predecessor, with a length of 4,720 mm, a width of 1,840 mm, a height of 1,435 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.
Accordingly, the car has been upgraded with a redesigned grille, headlights, and front/rear bumpers. Additionally, the "L" logo on the tailgate of this luxury sedan has been replaced with the word "Lexus." Automatic wipers have also been added to the new version.
The 2026 Lexus IS300h features 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels. Other details, such as the metal trim around the grille and the air intakes near the front bumper, have also been refined, giving the overall front end a more aggressive and angular look.
Similar to the exterior, the interior of the 2026 Lexus IS300h Luxury also receives only minor design improvements with the new Forge Bamboo trim material. In addition, a host of new features have been added to this luxury sedan.
When purchasing the 2026 Lexus IS300h Luxury, Thai customers will receive a range of new features, including a digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, both supporting wireless Apple CarPlay/wired Android Auto connectivity. Previously, the car only used an analog instrument panel with a 4.2-inch multi-information display (MID) and an 8-inch central touchscreen.
The 2026 Lexus IS300h Luxury also features a 17-speaker Mark Levinson Surround sound system, customizable interior lighting with 50 colors and 14 themes, wireless charging, a frameless rearview mirror with automatic anti-glare, four USB Type-C ports, and an electronic parking brake located on the dashboard below the engine start button.
Additionally, Lexus has refined the power steering ratio and increased the size of the steering column. Furthermore, sound insulation has been added to the wheel arches and underbody panels, resulting in improved noise reduction in the cabin. The damping of the shock absorbers and the stiffness of the front and rear springs have also been adjusted.
The next change to the vehicle is the Lexus Safety System +3.0 (LSS+3.0) active safety system. This system includes adaptive cruise control until a complete stop, pre-collision prevention, and lane keeping assist. A 360-degree panoramic camera has also been added to the vehicle.
Unfortunately, the engine of the 2026 Lexus IS300h Luxury in Thailand remains unchanged. It still uses a hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.5L 2AR-FSE HEV 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum power of 223 horsepower with an electric motor.
Thanks to its hybrid powertrain, the car consumes only 18.52 km/liter (approximately 5.39 liters/100 km) on mixed roads. Additionally, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 185 km/h.
It is currently unclear whether the updated version of the 2026 Lexus IS luxury sedan will return to the Vietnamese market. Previously, this model quietly disappeared from Lexus Vietnam's product lineup in mid-2024.
