2. Things to note when using garlic

In garlic, the active compounds are only activated when the garlic is crushed, minced, or chewed, and are inactivated at high temperatures. Therefore, when using garlic for medicinal purposes, it should not be eaten whole but chewed or crushed, and it should be consumed raw because cooking reduces its effectiveness.

Eating large quantities of fresh garlic, especially on an empty stomach, can cause discomfort, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, and disruption of the gut microbiome.

Applying fresh garlic can cause a burning sensation, skin inflammation, and blistering at the application site, so caution is advised. If blisters appear, discontinue application.
