Amidst a global tourism landscape trending towards personalized experiences, Mui Ne (Lam Dong) has unexpectedly made it into the top list of outstanding destinations for 2026, as recently announced by Booking.com, alongside many other impressive international destinations.

According to the 10th annual Travel Predictions report published on April 8th, 2026 is predicted to be "The Era of You," as travelers shift from asking "where to go" to "what suits me." In this context, Mui Ne (Lam Dong) is highly regarded for its ability to meet the trend of personalized experiences, from relaxation to exploration .

In this year's ranking, Mui Ne stands alongside many international destinations such as Bilbao (Spain), Philadelphia (USA), and Guangzhou (China)...

The list is compiled based on search data, bookings, and surveys of tens of thousands of travelers across multiple markets. The selected destinations all possess unique natural features, authentic experiences, and a sense of discovery.

Branavan Aruljothi, Country Director of Booking.com in Vietnam, said that Mui Ne's inclusion on this list clearly reflects the growing trend of personalized travel . "As travel becomes a way of self-expression, Mui Ne offers a diverse ecosystem of experiences, allowing travelers to design their itineraries according to their own preferences," he said.

Not only does Mui Ne attract international tourists, it is also among the top 10 most searched domestic destinations by Vietnamese travelers, currently ranking 9th, up one place from last year.

The allure of this destination comes from the combination of distinctive landscapes such as sand dunes, long beaches, and water sports activities. Thanks to stable wind conditions and unique topography, Mui Ne is considered a paradise for kitesurfing and other water sports.

National Geographic magazine once noted that Mui Ne has transformed from a fishing village into one of Southeast Asia's leading marine sports centers. In addition, the accommodation options here are becoming increasingly diverse, with a growing trend towards apartments, guesthouses, and serviced apartments alongside traditional hotels.

Beyond its scenic beauty, this destination is also attractive for its local cultural experiences, such as fishing villages, seafood markets, and the Van Thuy Tu historical site, which houses thousands of whale skeletons preserved over centuries.

With its unique landscapes, distinctive local culture, and diverse water sports experiences, Mui Ne is emerging as a prime example of personalized travel trends in 2026.

Mui Ne began to gain widespread recognition in 1995, following a total solar eclipse that attracted a large number of international tourists. Since then, the area has developed rapidly with a series of coastal resorts. Currently, the Mui Ne National Tourist Area has more than 600 accommodation establishments with nearly 18,000 rooms, concentrated along the coastal strip. The approximately 8-kilometer-long Nguyen Dinh Chieu road alone boasts over 50 resorts, forming one of the most vibrant tourist routes in the country.
