The Alpine A390 is an electric crossover that was first introduced as a concept at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The production version was unveiled almost a year ago, and it appears that production has yet to begin at the Dieppe assembly plant in France.

The car shares the AmpR Medium (CMF-EV) platform with the Renault Megane E-Tech, Scenic E-Tech, Nissan Ariya, Leaf, and Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and is a slightly more upscale and sportier option compared to its counterparts.

Considered the brand's second model in the "Dream Garage" of absolute quiet, following the A290, the Alpine A390 will be available in three versions upon its UK launch. These include the GT version, the Premiere Edition built upon the GT version, attempting to bridge the gap between the base and top-of-the-line models, and finally the GTS version.

The first two versions have 395 horsepower and 661 Nm of torque, while the top-of-the-line version boasts 470 horsepower and 824 Nm of torque. All three versions have a top speed of 200 km/h, but the first two accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, while the GTS version takes only 3.9 seconds.

All versions use the same 89 kWh battery pack and feature Active Torque Vectoring. The estimated driving range according to WLTP standards is 555 km. Charging the Alpine A390 from 15% to 80% with a 190 kW charger takes approximately 25 minutes.

The French automaker, operating under the umbrella of Renault, also stated that the Premiere Edition has a 22 kW charging capability, while the other two versions are optional. The Alpine A390 GT starts at £61,390 (approximately 2.15 billion VND) including taxes and fees, and comes equipped with 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Sport EV tires, along with a six-piston front brake system.
11-7495.jpg
The vehicle also features an active torque distribution system and all-wheel drive, as well as adaptive Matrix Vision LED headlights, tinted rear windows, a body-colored roof, a shark fin antenna, a power tailgate, and many other premium features.

Alpine also mentions a 12-inch multimedia screen with integrated Google services and Alpine Portal, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-speaker sound system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, interior ambient lighting (up to 48 colors), and numerous safety features.
4-944.jpg
These features include lane keeping assist, blind spot warning and intervention, emergency braking assist, safe distance warning, driver attention monitoring, pedestrian warning when reversing and parking exit warning (both vehicle and pedestrian), 360-degree camera system, etc.
10-4891.jpg
If you opt for the 2026 Alpine A390 Premiere Edition instead of the GT version, you'll get different 20-inch wheels, blue painted brake calipers, a French flag on the C-pillar, a black roof, the Driving Pack (hands-free parking assist and active driving assist), two-tone Nappa leather Sabelt sports seats, power-adjustable front seats with memory, heating and massage functions, and a 22 kW three-phase AC charger with bidirectional charging capability.

In this case, interested buyers will have to shell out a minimum of £65,390 ($87,990), while the top-of-the-line Alpine A390, called the GTS, will have a starting price of £69,390 (approximately over 2.4 billion VND).
15.jpg
Choosing the latter option will give you 21-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, Rouge Racing brake calipers, an upgraded sound system, a black Alcantara headliner, and the same two-tone Nappa leather seats and interior as the Premiere Edition, among other features.
5-8429.jpg
The Alpine A390 measures 4,615 mm from front to rear bumper, 1,525 mm in height, and 2,055 mm in width (including rearview mirrors). Its wheelbase is 2,708 mm. This makes it slightly smaller than its target competitor, the Porsche Macan EV, which has a wheelbase of 2,893 mm.
3-1313.jpg
However, if the Alpine A390 wants to compete with the Porsche Macan Electric, its price has to be lower. The base model starts at $78,000 (£57,935) with 355 horsepower and 0-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration in 5.4 seconds, and costs at least $109,500 (£81,330) for the Turbo version, which boasts 630 horsepower and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds.
