Whenever BTS’s V releases something, fans often expect strong demand. But this time, the reaction has been so intense that fans are calling him the “Sold-Out King” again.

The “VELVET RED” LP version connected to BTS’s upcoming album “Arirang” is already selling out across multiple markets, proving once again how powerful V’s global fanbase is.

The LP That Sold Out First in the U.S.

BTS will release their 5th full-length album “Arirang” on March 20, and special member-version LPs (vinyl records) have been available for pre-order since January.

Among them, V’s “VELVET RED” LP quickly stood out.

The vinyl became the first member version to sell out at Target in the United States, one of the country’s largest retail chains.

Even after restocks, the LP sold out again almost immediately, repeating the same pattern during both the first and second sales rounds.

Sold Out on Weverse and Beyond

The demand didn’t stop there.

At the Weverse US shop, where the LP was also made available to American fans, the album sold out as soon as it was restocked.

Since then, it has gone through multiple cycles of restocking and selling out, and it is currently listed as sold out again.

For fans, the pattern has become familiar: once V-related items appear online, they rarely stay available for long.

Japan Sales Are Also Breaking Records

The LP’s popularity is also visible in Japan.

On Amazon Japan, V’s LP is the only member version to enter both the “Best Seller” and “Hot New Release” categories, indicating the highest level of pre-orders.

At the Japanese retailer Rakuten Good & Music, the “VELVET RED” version was listed at the highest price among the available LP versions, yet it still sold out completely.

The vinyl is also ranking among the top-selling items on Qoo10, further highlighting V’s strong sales power in the Japanese market.

Even Imported Copies Are Selling Fast in Korea

Although individual LP versions are not officially sold in Korea, imported copies are still in high demand.

Online sellers importing the album through Naver Smart Store reported that the “VELVET RED” version quickly reached No.1 in daily sales rankings.

Within just one day of pre-orders, the LP recorded enough sales to top the weekly sales chart.

For many fans, it is another example of what they call the “V effect,” where products associated with the singer tend to sell out almost instantly.

Fans React: “The Sold-Out King Is Back”

After the sales numbers spread online, fans quickly reacted.

Many comments highlighted how consistently V-related merchandise sells out worldwide.

Some fans wrote:

For longtime fans, the situation feels familiar.

Excitement Builds Ahead of BTS’s Comeback

The vinyl frenzy comes just days before BTS’s new album arrives.

Meanwhile, Netflix recently released the teaser for “BTS Comeback Live | Arirang,” featuring V.

In the short clip, the singer quietly says “6 DAYS” in a tense voice, hinting at the countdown to the group’s comeback.

The teaser quickly gained attention online, surpassing 10 million views within eight hours, reflecting the growing excitement surrounding BTS’s return.

With the album release approaching and V’s LP already selling out worldwide, fans are now watching closely to see what the next record-breaking moment will be.
