According to Melon’s newly released 2025 year-end chart, “Spring Day” ranked No. 77, marking its ninth consecutive year on the annual chart since its release in February 2017. This achievement makes the song the longest-charting track in Melon’s annual chart history, a record that underscores its lasting cultural and emotional impact.
Beyond its yearly chart presence, “Spring Day” has set multiple historic benchmarks on the platform. The song became Melon’s first track to surpass 1 billion cumulative streams and remained on the platform’s daily chart for nearly eight years, the longest run ever recorded. These numbers highlight its rare longevity in an industry driven by fast-moving trends.
Musically, “Spring Day” blends Brit-rock influences with electronic and alternative hip-hop elements, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and timeless. BTS members RM and SUGA took part in writing the lyrics, drawing from personal experiences, while RM also contributed to the song’s melody.
