Toyota has introduced the GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition, a special-edition model celebrating Sébastien Ogier’s ninth World Rally Championship (WRC) drivers’ title, achieved during the 2025 season.

The 2025 WRC title battle was decided at the final round, Rally Saudi Arabia, with the championship undecided until the event’s conclusion. Ogier competed in 11 rallies during the season, recording 10 podium finishes, including six victories. The result earned him his ninth WRC title, tying the all-time record. Toyota says the special edition was developed to mark this milestone and to thank fans of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team.
The model is based on the GR Yaris Aero Performance Package introduced in 2025 and incorporates vehicle tuning and equipment developed with Ogier’s direct input. Central to the changes is an exclusive four-wheel-drive control setup. The standard TRACK mode is replaced by a new “SEB.” mode, which uses a 40:60 front-to-rear torque distribution. This setting is designed to provide greater rear-wheel-drive control while maintaining front-end steering response, aiming to improve vehicle control at high speeds. A second exclusive setting, “MORIZO” mode, replaces the GRAVEL mode. This mode maximizes the binding force between the front and rear wheels during acceleration and relaxes it only as needed during braking, aiming to balance traction and cornering performance. Ogier selected this driving force distribution based on a setup developed by Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo, through rally competition.
The exterior features a new body color called Black Gravite, developed exclusively for this model and associated with Toyota Gazoo Racing’s 2025 motorsports activities. The car is fitted with matte black wheels, blue brake calipers in Ogier’s signature color, and a radiator grille with tricolor detailing inspired by the French flag. Additional exterior identifiers include a Morizo-autographed front windshield, exclusive vinyl graphics along the lower doors and rear fenders, and a Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition emblem on the back door.
Inside, the GR Yaris is equipped with a motorsports-focused steering wheel with a slightly smaller diameter than the standard model and revised switch placement informed by the GR Yaris Rally2 race car. The steering wheel features tricolor stitching, while the vertical parking brake is finished in leather with exclusive gray stitching. The cabin also includes a special serial-number plate commemorating Ogier’s 2025 WRC title and an exclusive GR Full TFT digital gauge display that shows the dedicated “SEB.” and “MORIZO” drive modes.
For Japan, the GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition will be limited to 100 units and sold via a lottery system, with applications opening in spring 2026 through the official TGR smartphone application, the GR app. Toyota will also release 100 units in selected European markets, making the model a strictly limited production run.
