VinFast Philippines is rolling out a new program that allows ride-hailing drivers to rent electric vehicles (EVs) for as low as ₱1,000 per day, aiming to make EV adoption more accessible for the transport sector.
The initiative targets Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) drivers and operators, offering flexible rental and ownership options for models under its Green lineup, including the Herio Green and Limo Green.
Under the rental program, drivers are required to pay an upfront deposit and choose a contract duration. Longer-term plans are available, with daily rental rates starting at around ₱1,000, depending on the agreement.
In addition to rentals, VinFast is also offering ownership plans with low down payment options and customizable financing. The company says payment terms can be aligned with a driver’s income, potentially making it easier to transition from fuel-powered vehicles to electric ones.
As part of the push, VinFast is offering free charging at V-Green stations until March 2029, helping drivers reduce operating costs further.
The company is also preparing to launch a “Trade Gas for Electric” program, which will give private vehicle owners additional discounts when switching to EVs.
For now, the program is available in Metro Manila, with plans to expand to other areas nationwide.
