Lexus will introduce a new special-edition battery electric vehicle, the RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance,” to its RZ lineup on March 2, 2026. The model will be sold through Lexus dealerships nationwide.
The RZ is Lexus’s first model developed exclusively as a BEV and plays a key role in the brand’s shift toward electrification. The lineup debuted with the all-wheel-drive RZ 450e in March 2023, followed by the front-wheel-drive RZ 300e, which focused on extending driving range through weight reduction. In January 2024, Lexus added the limited-run RZ 450e “F SPORT Performance,” capped at 100 units, marking the brand’s first performance-oriented RZ variant. That model was developed with input from air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, with a focus on aerodynamic efficiency and driving performance.
The new RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” is based on the RZ 550e “F SPORT,” which features a comprehensively updated BEV system. The special edition further enhances performance through exclusive aerodynamic components that generate increased downforce, along with higher motor output. Lexus says these changes improve handling stability while delivering a more sporty and responsive driving character.
Vehicle height has been lowered by 20 mm compared with the standard RZ 550e “F SPORT,” reducing aerodynamic drag and improving stability across different driving conditions. By revising battery output limits, the system delivers a maximum combined output of 313 kW (419 hp), enabling smooth and strong acceleration. Braking performance is also upgraded with the adoption of 20-inch large-diameter brake rotors, designed to match the vehicle’s higher performance level. Brake tuning focuses on precise control and consistent feedback, particularly during sporty driving.
The RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” is equipped with a steer-by-wire system and a dedicated steering wheel designed specifically for this technology. It is also paired with Lexus’s Interactive Manual Drive system, which is intended to enhance driver engagement on both urban roads and winding routes.
Two exterior color schemes are available: Black combined with HAKUGIN II with a matte clear finish, and Black combined with Neutrino Gray, the latter shared with the RZ 550e “F SPORT.” Blue accent details contrast with the black bodywork, emphasizing the vehicle’s performance-oriented identity and aerodynamic form.
Inside, the model features front seats produced using an integrated foam molding process. The seats are designed to provide firm support during dynamic driving while maintaining comfort for daily use, reinforcing the balance between sportiness and refinement that Lexus aims to deliver with the RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance.”
