Bentley has unveiled the new Continental GT S and Continental GTC S, expanding the Continental range with models focused on driving performance. Inspired by the limited-edition Supersports, the new S variants combine sportier styling, hybrid power, and chassis technology previously reserved for higher-end models like the GT Speed.
The fourth-generation Continental GT S models are the most powerful vehicles to carry the S badge. Both coupe (GT S) and convertible (GTC S) versions use Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid system, producing 680 PS (670 HP) and 930 Nm of torque. This is 130 PS more than the previous GT S generation. The system combines a 4.0-liter V8 engine with electrification, delivering 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h. The hybrid system can also run in pure electric mode for up to 80 km.
Bentley says the new hybrid setup surpasses the previous W12-powered GT Speed in power, torque, and acceleration. A sports exhaust is standard, designed to highlight the V8 engine sound.
The S models also gain the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, previously available only on the GT Speed and GT Mulliner. This includes Active All-Wheel Drive, twin-valve dampers, torque vectoring across axles, Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system, updated ESC software, and an electronic limited-slip differential and all-wheel steering, which is a first for the GT S.
The system is designed to give drivers more control depending on the driving mode. With ESC fully engaged, traction is managed to reduce oversteer. In Dynamic Mode, the system allows controlled rear slip for more driver input in corners. ESC can also be turned off completely, allowing full manual control of vehicle balance through throttle input.
Visually, the new S models feature Bentley’s Blackline Specification, with gloss black matrix grilles, black Bentley badges and lettering, and a dark front lower spoiler. Other exterior details include Beluga black mirror caps, sill extensions, and a rear diffuser. The cars also feature dark-tint LED matrix headlights, shared only with the GT Speed, along with dark-tint taillamps and sports exhaust tailpipe finishers.
Standard wheels are 22-inch ten swept-spoke alloys in silver. Optional finishes include gloss black with machined faces or full gloss black.
Inside, the Continental GT S models get a unique two-tone interior theme and fluted seat design. Dinamica technical fabric is used on high-touch areas such as the steering wheel, gear lever, seats, and door inserts. Piano Black veneer is standard, with high-gloss carbon fiber and other finishes available. Optional upgrades include full leather upholstery and dark-tint chrome interior trim.
Bentley says the new S models sit between the comfort-focused Azure variants and the high-performance GT Speed models. The company positions them as a distinct option for buyers who want a more driver-focused grand touring experience while maintaining luxury features.
The new Continental GT S and GTC S further expand the Continental lineup, giving customers more choice within Bentley’s grand touring range.
