Jensen International Automotive (JIA) has revealed initial details of its first all-new model, a clean-sheet grand tourer inspired by the 1960s Jensen Interceptor.

Unlike previous revival efforts, the upcoming GT will be developed entirely from the ground up. It will feature a contemporary body design, an aluminium chassis, and a bespoke V8 engine. JIA says the car is being engineered to deliver a fully analogue driving experience, positioning it as a modern interpretation of a luxury British GT rather than a technology-led performance car.

The new Interceptor will be handcrafted in the UK and produced in ultra-low volumes. Development and production will draw on JIA’s existing automotive expertise and industry experience.

For those who do not know, JIA, or Jensen International Automotive, has been in the business of producing restomods and/or restoring the Jensen Interceptor. You can provide, or they can source a classic Interceptor, and you can specify it to your liking, including a more powerful LS crate engine.

To support the project, JIA will also establish a dedicated division focused exclusively on the rapid development of the new GT model. Further technical specifications, timelines, and pricing have yet to be announced.
