YouTube has announced that its Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature is rolling out globally with availability expanding to more users in the coming months.

YouTube is rolling out its PiP feature globally and expanding it to more users.
PiP allows videos to continue playing in a small, movable window even after users leave the app for both Android and iOS devices.
Users will now gain access to PiP for long-form, non-music content. Premium Lite subscribers will continue to have access to PiP for the same type of content.
Meanwhile, full Premium members will retain PiP support for both music and non-music videos.

While a YouTube video is playing, users can simply swipe up or press the home button to minimize the app. The video will then continue playing in a floating window.
YouTube notes that users may need to update their app or device settings to enable PiP. Requirements such as iOS 15 or newer are needed for compatibility.
