Kia Philippines has officially launched the all-electric Kia EV5 at the Manila International Auto Show 2026 (MIAS 2026), expanding its growing electric vehicle lineup in the country. This is right after it was previewed at the Kia Movement Event in Alabang Town Center last month.
Positioned as a compact electric SUV, the EV5 arrives with two battery options: a 64.2kWh pack and a larger 88.1kWh unit. Depending on the variant, the model delivers up to 217 PS and 310 Nm of torque, with a maximum driving range of up to 550 kilometers based on WLTP standards.
The EV5 measures 4,615 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,715 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase, giving it a footprint suited for urban and family use.
Inside, the EV5 features a dual 12.3-inch panoramic display setup for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Connectivity options include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, and a wireless charging pad.
The SUV also comes equipped with modern convenience features, including dual-zone automatic climate control, a power tailgate, a smart key with push-button start, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for powering external devices.
Safety technologies include smart cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keeping and lane-following assist, forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
The EV5 is offered in multiple exterior colors, including Frost Blue, Ivory Silver, Shale Gray, Starry Night Black, and Snow White Pearl.
As for pricing, the Kia EV5 is available in two variants and is priced to sell at the following prices:
GL: P2,298,000
GLS: 2,698,000
