After a lot of teasing, the Honda Prelude is finally here in the Philippines.
The arrival Prelude has long been awaited by Honda fans here in the country, following its preview at Honda Fest last year. It also marks the first time the grand tourer will be officially sold by Honda Cars Philippines in the country.
Under the hood, the 2026 Prelude is powered by a 2.0L Atkinson cycle engine paired with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid powertrain. The engine produces a maximum output of 141 PS and 182Nm torque, which are directly sent to the front wheels. It’s not the most powerful, but it’s quite fuel efficient, capable of doing 25.6 km/L (based on DOE certification).
It then employs Honda’s S+ Shift technology to simulate gear changes for a sportier and engaging driving feel. According to Honda, this helps the Prelude offer a more fun and engaging driving experience without compromising the benefits of the hybrid powertrain.
To enhance driving experience further, the Prelude shares similar suspension components with the Civic Type R. Specifically, it utilizes the same adaptive dampers and dual-axis front struts. There are also Brembo brakes at the front, but painted in blue, paired with 19-inch wheels all around.
Inside, the Prelude comes with a 10.2-inch TFT LCD instrument panel which features all of the vehicle parameters along with an 8-speaker Bose sound system. The complete suite of Honda Sensing also comes standard to help keep occupants safe on their drive.
To make things easier for long term ownership, Honda Cars Philippines says the Prelude will come with their new Extended Warranty Program. This means customers who purchase the Prelude can now enjoy a vehicle warranty of 5 years/150,000 kilometers, and a battery warranty of 8 years/160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first for each.
Customers will have 5 colors to choose from: Rallye Red, Racing Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and Moonlit White Pearl (additional PHP 30,000).
The 2026 Honda Prelude 2.0 e:HEV E-CVT retails for PHP 3,498,000.
