The Mustang Mach-E RWD is priced at P2,599,000, following a P500,000 cash discount from its standard retail price of P3,199,000. An additional P100,000 discount is offered for units finished in Grabber Yellow.
According to Pedro Simoes, managing director of Ford Philippines, the new variant highlights the company’s push to bring more global electric vehicles to the local market, while giving customers an option focused on efficiency and longer driving range.
The RWD variant uses a single permanent magnet motor mounted on the rear axle, producing 272 hp (276 PS) and 525 Nm of torque. Compared to the dual-motor AWD version, the setup prioritizes energy efficiency and extended range.
Ford estimates the Mach-E RWD can travel up to 615 kilometers on a single charge, making it suitable for both daily commutes and longer trips.
Drivers can choose from three drive modes: Whisper, Engage, and Unbridle. These adjust steering, throttle response, and overall driving feel to suit driving preferences.
The model also features a one-pedal drive system. Lifting off the accelerator activates regenerative braking, slowing the vehicle while recovering energy for the battery. This reduces brake usage and improves efficiency, especially in traffic.
The RWD variant retains key Mustang design elements, including a fastback profile and tri-bar tail lamps. It also features a frameless grille with active shutters, LED projector headlamps with automatic leveling, and sequential turn signals.
Other exterior features include 19-inch machine-finished aluminum wheels, an E-Latch door system, and a front trunk (“frunk”) that provides additional storage.
Inside, the Mach-E RWD comes with perforated ActiveX synthetic leather seats with 10-way power adjustment for the front occupants. The cabin includes heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear air vents.
A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster is paired with a 15.5-inch touchscreen running SYNC 4A. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as enhanced voice recognition. Other features include a wireless charging pad and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Cargo space is rated at 402 liters with the rear seats up and up to 1,420 liters with them folded. The front trunk adds 80 liters of additional storage.
The vehicle is compatible with the Ford App, which allows owners to remotely start or stop the vehicle, manage climate settings, monitor charging status, and set charging schedules, among other functions.
The Mustang Mach-E RWD will be available at select dealerships, including Ford Alabang, Ford Balintawak, Ford Cebu, Ford EDSA, Ford Global City, Ford Libis, and Ford Marikina.
