XPENG Philippines has opened pre-sales for the X9, its flagship seven-seater, weeks ahead of the model’s official debut later this month. Only a limited number of units from the first batch are available for reservation.
Customers can reserve the X9 for ₱25,000. Upon vehicle delivery, they will also receive ₱10,000 in EV charging credits and an XPENG First Circle Gift Set.
“The interest and inquiries we have received ahead of the official launch reflect the growing anticipation for the X9,” said Sam Chu, General Manager of Southeast Asia Region, XPENG. “In response, we are opening pre-sales early to give interested customers the opportunity to reserve their X9 before we officially begin retail sales later this month.”
XPENG says the X9 has already been delivered to more than 55,000 customers across China and other Asia-Pacific markets, and that it is arriving in the Philippines. The company frames the pre-sales campaign as an early step in its entry into the Philippine market.
As for what the X9 has, well, XPENG Philippines has been rather generous with their information and specifications well ahead of its launch date.
The exterior design departs from the upright, boxy profile typical of large MPVs, featuring angular lines and a streamlined silhouette. Dimensions are 5,316 mm long, 1,988 mm wide, and 1,785 mm tall, with a 3,160 mm wheelbase. The drag coefficient is rated at 0.236.
Power comes from a single front-mounted electric motor producing 235 kW and 450 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h time of 7.75 seconds. Battery capacity is 110 kWh (NCM chemistry), rated for up to 615 km of range under the WLTP cycle, with energy consumption of approximately 20 kWh/100 km.
The X9 runs on XPENG’s 800-volt silicon carbide platform, supporting DC fast charging up to 542 kW. Under optimal conditions and with a compatible high-capacity charger, the battery can go from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 12 minutes. AC charging tops out at 11 kW, taking around 11 hours to go from 5 to 100 percent. XPENG notes actual range and charging times will vary based on driving style, vehicle load, temperature, terrain, battery condition, climate-control use, and charger capacity. The vehicle also supports 6 kW of Vehicle-to-Load output for powering external devices and appliances.
An active rear-wheel steering system gives the X9 a minimum turning radius of 5.4 meters, with a maximum rear-wheel angle of five degrees and an average steering-angle reduction of 42 percent. At low speeds, the rear wheels turn opposite the front wheels for tighter maneuvering; at higher speeds, they turn in the same direction for added stability.
Ride comfort is handled by a dual-chamber air suspension system with adjustable ground clearance from 100 to 190 mm, along with an AI-linked chassis that reads road conditions ahead and adjusts suspension response in advance.
Built on a dedicated EV platform, the X9 has a flat, step-free floor. Third-row access is aided by a 180-mm central aisle and a one-touch EASY ENTRY function. Third-row seats include power-adjustable backrests and headrests, seat heating, cupholders, and dedicated controls.
The Magic Third Row seats fold and stow electrically in a 40:60 split to create a flat cargo floor. Cargo capacity ranges from 721 liters with all seven seats up to 2,554 liters with the third row stowed. XPENG also cites a concealed, sunken luggage compartment that can hold up to seven suitcases, even with all seven seats occupied, with controls in the cargo area that allow adjustment of the third-row seats and suspension while loading.
First and second rows are upholstered in full-grain Nappa leather. Front seats get 12-way power adjustment with heating, ventilation, massage, position memory, and a welcome function. Second-row zero-gravity seats offer 14-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, ten-point massage, powered leg supports, and one-touch reclining.
A windless surround climate system uses more than 6,000 micro air outlets to distribute airflow across the second and third rows. Other features include folding tables, wireless phone charging, powered soft-closing front doors, and an integrated refrigerator. Rear entertainment is handled by a 21.4-inch display and a 27-speaker XOPERA audio system with 1,552 watts of amplifier power.
XMART OS runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset and supports split-screen multitasking. Cabin displays include a 17.3-inch central screen, a digital instrument panel, and a 21-inch windshield head-up display. The system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, smart navigation, mobile app controls, multi-zone voice interaction, multilingual support, and the “Hey XPENG” voice assistant. XMART OS receives functionality updates through over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Driver assistance is handled by XPILOT ASSIST, which uses a dedicated AI Turing chip, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 12 cameras. Features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, Adaptive Turning Cruise, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Enhanced Auto Parking Assist, Auto Exit Parking Assist, Remote Parking Assist, Remote Vehicle Summon, a 360-degree camera, and Transparent Chassis View. XPENG states these systems assist the driver and do not replace attentive driving; the driver must remain in control and observe road and traffic conditions at all times.
The 2026 XPENG X9 has received a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Body construction uses 87 percent high-strength steel and aluminum, with a 2,000 MPa cage structure and a 19-ring safety design. Nine airbags are fitted throughout the cabin, and the battery includes safeguards against impact, heat, water, electrical faults, pressure, and fire.
Sixteen active safety functions are included, among them Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assistance, Emergency Lane Keeping, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Driver State Monitoring. A blowout stability function is designed to help maintain the vehicle’s course after a sudden loss of tire pressure. Additional safety equipment includes a Bosch intelligent braking system, electronic stability control, tire-pressure monitoring, hill ascent and descent assistance, a surround-view camera, and ISOFIX mounting points.
