Google has announced a new set of AI-powered features for Google Chrome.

Powered by Gemini 3.1, the update introduces a more interactive browsing experience where users can chat with a side panel assistant while staying on the same webpage. This removes the need to switch tabs when summarizing articles, asking questions or generating ideas.
Users can also compare information across multiple tabs and have Chrome organize the data into simplified formats like tables or summaries.
The update also deepens integration with Google services like Gmail, Maps, Calendar and YouTube. Users can schedule events, send emails or get location details directly from the browser without leaving their current page.
A new feature powered by Nano Banana 2 allows image editing directly inside Chrome using text prompts.
This update is now available in the Philippines. Google has stated that they will add more features in the future.
The rollout begins on desktop and iOS first. Android support is available through Gemini while using Chrome and other apps.
