DENZA Philippines has officially launched the all-new B5 and B8, expanding its presence in the country’s growing electrified vehicle segment. The two SUVs were first showcased at the Manila International Auto Show 2026 and are now introduced locally under the “Adventure Electrified” campaign.
The B5 and B8 mark DENZA’s entry into the SUV market, targeting buyers seeking electrified vehicles that balance efficiency, practicality, and off-road capability.
According to Adam Hu, Country Head of BYD and DENZA Philippines, the launch is a key step for the brand. He said the B5 and B8 enable DENZA to reach more customers, particularly those seeking SUVs that deliver both functional and emotional appeal from new-energy vehicles.
The DENZA B5 is a midsize plug-in hybrid SUV built on the brand’s DMO Super Hybrid system. It uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a dual-motor setup, producing 425 kW and 760 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 31.8-kWh BYD Blade battery and an 83-liter fuel tank, offering a combined NEDC range of up to 975 kilometers.
The B5 comes with four-wheel drive and electronically controlled locking differentials at the front and rear, designed to improve traction across different road conditions. Inside, it features a large infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof. It also includes advanced driver assistance systems and ventilated and massage seats.
The larger DENZA B8 is a full-size SUV offered in Dynamic and Premium variants. It uses a 2.0-liter engine combined with a dual-motor system, producing 450 kW and 760 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.8 seconds.
The B8 is fitted with a 36.9-kWh battery and a 91.5-liter fuel tank, delivering a combined NEDC range of up to 1,040 kilometers. It also features the DiSus-P Intelligent Damping Suspension, which adjusts suspension stiffness in real time based on road conditions and driving inputs. This system works with an electronically controlled locking differential to improve stability, traction, and ride comfort on uneven or low-grip surfaces.
Inside, the B8 offers a more premium setup, including a larger infotainment screen with smartphone connectivity, power-adjustable seats, dual wireless chargers, a built-in refrigerator, and a surround-view camera system. Like the B5, it also comes with ventilated and massage seats.
Both models are equipped with four-wheel drive, front and rear locking differentials, and multiple terrain modes, including Mud, Sand, Rock, and Water Wading. They also feature Leopard Turn technology for tighter turning in confined spaces.
Owners can access vehicle information and controls through the DENZA App, which allows remote monitoring of vehicle status, charging and fuel levels, and location.
To support the launch, DENZA Philippines is holding the DENZA Arena Customer Test Drive Event from April 24 to 26, 10 AM to 7 PM. The test course includes steep inclines, water wading sections, side slopes, and uneven terrain to demonstrate the vehicles’ capabilities.
Special introductory prices are available for reservations made during the event. The DENZA B5 is priced at ₱3,498,000, while the B8 is offered at ₱4,698,000 for the Dynamic variant and ₱5,098,000 for the Premium variant.
A ceremonial handover was also conducted for the first 30 customers, reflecting early demand for the new models.
With the addition of the B5 and B8, DENZA Philippines strengthens its lineup in the local new energy vehicle market, focusing on SUVs that combine performance, off-road capability, and electrified technology.
