Nissan has launched the all-new KICKS e-POWER at the Bangkok International Motor Show, introducing an updated design, new technology, and advanced driver-assistance features for the Thai market.
The model marks Nissan’s fourth e-POWER vehicle and is engineered and produced in Thailand. According to Nissan Thailand and ASEAN President Toshihiro Fujiki, the launch highlights the company’s focus on local manufacturing and customers in Thailand and the ASEAN region.
The compact SUV is positioned for urban users and younger buyers, combining Nissan’s e-POWER hybrid system with EURO 6 emissions compliance. The system uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine to generate electricity for an electric motor, producing 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 2.06-kWh lithium-ion battery and supports E20 fuel. Nissan says the setup delivers responsive acceleration and fuel efficiency while offering a driving feel similar to that of a full-electric vehicle, without the need for external charging.
The model also features Nissan’s e-Pedal Step, allowing drivers to slow down and regenerate energy by lifting off the accelerator.
For the first time in Thailand, the KICKS e-POWER is equipped with ProPILOT, Nissan’s advanced driver assistance system. It combines lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability to help maintain lane position, speed, and distance from other vehicles. The system requires the driver to keep their hands on the steering wheel.
Additional safety features are included under the Nissan 360 Safety Shield suite. These include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, Blind Spot Warning with intervention, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Around View Monitor, and Driver Attention Alert, among others.
The exterior adopts a more angular design with Nissan’s updated V-Motion grille, slim headlamps, and distinctive three-arrow daytime running lights. At the rear, the model features a simplified layout with hexagon-shaped tail lamps.
Inside, the KICKS e-POWER gets a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with USB, Bluetooth, and a wireless charging pad. The cabin also includes redesigned consoles, door panels, and a synthetic leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Comfort features include Zero Gravity seats, anti-heat synthetic leather upholstery, and a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Rear passengers get improved seating angles, larger headrests, and a center armrest. The vehicle also comes with an Intelligent Rear View Mirror and a 423-liter cargo capacity.
The all-new KICKS e-POWER is offered in three variants—V, VL, and SV—and comes in six exterior colors, with two-tone options available on higher trims. A Moonstone interior color is exclusive to the SV grade, while other variants get black and dark gray interiors.
Nissan Thailand has also announced a comprehensive warranty package for the all-new KICKS e-POWER, including a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer e‑POWER drive system warranty, and a 10-year, unlimited-mileage battery warranty. We could also expect the same warranty programs to be offered in the Philippines once the vehicle launches.
