VinFast has announced the extension of its free charging program for customers in the Philippines until March 31, 2029. Indonesia and India are also part of that program, as announced by VinFast.
Under the updated policy, all VinFast EV owners in these markets, both existing and new buyers, will have access to free charging across the company’s charging network, developed and operated by VGreen. The program also covers private owners and those using their vehicles for transport services, including drivers on the Green SM (GSM) platform.
The move builds on the company’s current free charging initiative and aims to lower operating costs for EV users. With up to three years of zero fuel expenses, VinFast said the program is designed to encourage more consumers to shift away from gasoline-powered vehicles.
Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, said the initial rollout of the policy received positive feedback in both Vietnam and international markets. She added that extending the program is part of the company’s broader effort to accelerate EV adoption by reducing ownership costs and improving consumer confidence.
Alongside the incentive, VinFast said its charging infrastructure through V-Green continues to expand across its operating markets. The company noted that wider network coverage is key to supporting the transition to electric mobility.
VinFast is also implementing additional measures in these markets to support EV adoption. These include a battery subscription program to reduce upfront costs, a resale value guarantee, flexible payment options, and extended warranty coverage. As a matter of fact, VinFast also has a program that urges buyers to trade in their ICE vehicles for a VinFast EV.
With these initiatives, the company aims to strengthen its EV ecosystem in Asia and accelerate the shift toward electrified transportation.
