Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) will open pre-orders for the Honda Prelude starting Friday, February 27, 2026.
The Prelude returns as an electrified sports coupe after being discontinued in other markets in 2001. For its local debut, HCPI positions the model as a link between the brand’s heritage and current hybrid technology tailored for today’s market.
Designed around the concept of “Unlimited Glide,” the new Prelude features a low vehicle height, light proportions, and clear outward visibility aimed at delivering a comfortable driving experience. Its suspension incorporates components derived from the Civic Type R, balancing ride comfort and precise handling to support both daily use and long-distance touring.
The Prelude also introduces Honda’s new S+ Shift technology. Unlike the typical paddle function in Honda hybrid models that adjusts regenerative braking levels, S+ Shift enables virtual gear changes. When activated, it provides visual, audio, and tactile feedback through meter display changes, simulated engine sounds, and seat vibrations to create a more engaging drive.
Although positioned as a sports coupe, the Prelude is designed for daily usability. It offers cargo space and cabin room sufficient for groceries, two golf bags, or two surfboards. The model is equipped with Honda’s e:HEV full hybrid system, delivering a combined fuel economy rating of 25.6 km/L, as certified by the Department of Energy (DOE).
The Honda Prelude will be offered in a single variant, the 2.0 e:HEV E-CVT. Available colors are Moonlit White Pearl (new and exclusive to the model), Rallye Red, Racing Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.
Interested customers may visit or contact their preferred Honda Cars dealership to reserve a unit.
In terms of pricing, we think dealerships already have tentative pricing for those interested, but as for publicly available information, Honda Philippines has yet to disclose official pricing.
